Billie Shiveley

On February 14, 2024 Billie went home to claim her mansion that Jesus, her Savior, had gone to prepare for her in Heaven. She was 88 years of age, born on October 15,1935 to the late James and Bessie Mangus of Portsmouth, Ohio. Billie is survived by her husband, Carl to whom she had been married for 69 years. She is also survived by two daughters, Beverly (Jon) Mountjoy of Reesville, Ohio, and Kimberly Blankenship of West Carrolton, Ohio, one son Carl Jr. (Mary Jane) of Lafollette Tennessee; three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, six step- great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Mangus (Noella) of McDermott,Ohio. She is preceded in death by sisters Violet, Sandy, Sharon, Ann, Patricia, one brother, David and son-in-law Lynn Blankenship. Billie attended Washington High School in West Portsmouth, Ohio. From 1974 until the end of 2019 she sang with her family group, "The Shiveley Family". Billie retired from Merrie Time Christian Preschool and Kindergarten after 25 years, to stay home and take care of her great- grandchildren. She attended the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave. Dayton Ohio. Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. The funeral will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1:00pm at The Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave. Dayton, Ohio with Rev. Tim Hamilton officiating.
