Bonita Louise “Bonnie” Franz, age 70 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Wellington of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Clara Franz, brothers Jef and Mark Franz, niece Elissa Frommeyer and nephew Matthew Kates. She is survived by five brothers: Tom (Pat) Franz, John (Anita) Franz, Rick (Debbie) Franz, Scott (Sandi) Franz and Bob (Debbie) Franz, and three sisters: Judy (Bob) Rueth, Mary (Jim) Frommeyer, and Sue (Jimmy) South, as well as a sister-in-law, Jeri Franz, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was loved deeply by her nieces and nephews; she acted as the family cake baker and decorator, and loved to attend her family’s sporting events to cheer them on. She was a 1966 graduate of Carroll High School and worked at the US Office of Personnel Management for her entire 35-year career, retiring in 2001. She will be remembered as a hard worker, capable leader and voracious reader by those who knew her. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Ed Pratt, Celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
