Bonny Humston

In loving memory, we share the news of Bonny Humston, 65, from Fairborn, Ohio, who passed away unexpectedly at Soin Medical Center on Monday, February 9, 2026, after a brave and enduring battle with chronic illnesses.

Bonny was born in Dayton, Ohio. Her career was spent as a City of Dayton worker, but her greatest joy came from being a Mom and Grannyma – titles she cherished beyond measure.

Bonny is reunited in spirit with her beloved parents, Fred and Shirley Humston. She leaves behind her sister Beverly “Sissy” (Mike) Gibson, and brother Jerry (Lyn) Humston. Her legacy continues through her wonderful children: Brian (Stephanie) Humston, Marcelle (Stephanie) Abdalnabi, Joshua (Stephanie) Whitt, LaKinda Whitt, and Jennifer Humston. Bonny also served as a guardian to two of her grandchildren, Mia Anderson and Zach Hill. Her heart rejoiced in being Grannyma/BonBon to her 17 other grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several grandpuppers, and a loving circle of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will carry her spirit forward.

Bonny’s zest for life shone brightly through her love for traveling to Canada and Florida, playing the organ with her dad, bowling, crocheting, fishing, connecting with online friends, body building in her early years, and line dancing. She would spend summer evenings swinging on the porch and enjoyed her nights out. Simple pleasures filled her life; watching NASCAR, Soap Operas, reality television, sipping a cold Mountain Dew, a neighborhood chat, enjoying a freshly lit cigarette, windows down car rides with rock music playing, or dining at her favorite restaurants. Bonny’s happiest moments were always spent surrounded by family!

Her warm heart, determined spirit, keen insight, and resilience defined her vibrant personality. For six remarkable decades, she spread joy and created unforgettable memories. Bonny will be missed deeply.
