Boyd Wayne Hardin, age 77, of Dayton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on May 13th, 2018. He was born on May 26th, 1940 in Drakesboro, Kentucky to parents Hazel and Boyd Hardin. Boyd is preceded in death by his parents, Sister Joyce Solis; Brothers Dale Hardin, Tom Hardin, and Paul Hardin. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Carolyn Hardin; Daughters Angela Page (Gary), and Sheila Parsley (Rick); Brothers Barry Hardin, Monte Hardin, and Victor Hardin; Grandchildren Joshua Leach (Brandy), and Ian Leach; Great-Grandchildren Kayla Leach, Katelynn Leach, Victoria Leach, and Gracie Mae Leach; numerous nieces and nephews; his special friend Cecil Hollon and his dog Alvin. Boyd served his country in the United States Marine Corp, and had a passion for fishing. He was very much loved by his family and touched the lives of many people. A viewing for Boyd will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Ave, Dayton, Ohio, at 10 am on Thursday, May 17th. A service will immediately follow the viewing at 12:30 pm. Burial for Boyd will be at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, Ohio.

Watching boxing on Friday night. His famous self proclaimed "sand desert sideways" look. I always think of one word when I eat pork chops Succulent. Because that's how uncle Wayne described the pork chops that aunt Carolyn made him. Always welcoming and kind when I would come back to Ohio to visit. You will be greatly missed uncle Wayne.
