Candy Sue Maggard, age 53 of Dayton, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 23, 2023. She was born in Hazard, KY to the late Jimmy Maggard and Patty Stacy. In addition to her biological father, she is also preceded in death by parents Dorothy and Todd Moore and Jim Stacy, brothers Michael Maggard and Jimmy Ty Stacy, and grandson Tyler Raab.
Candy is survived by her 3 daughters: Michelle (Adam) Smith, Jessica (Tony) Arden, and Patricia (Paul) Raab, her mother Patty Stacy, grandchildren: Emily, Natalie, Kevin, Carson, Morgan, Keith, and Isaac, several siblings, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Candy loved to play pool and shop, especially “thrifting.” She worked as a home health care aide for many years, and at several Family Dollar Stores over the years.
A Celebration of Candy’s Life will be held at 1pm, Monday, March 6, 2023 at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills. Burial will follow in Bearcreek Hillgrove Cemetery. Family is welcome starting at 11am followed by Friends at 12pm until the time of service Monday.
