Lux, Carl Theodore (Ted) passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Born on June 3, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to Paul F. Lux and Norma (Crawford) Lux, Ted is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Susan, sons Chris Lux and Carl Lux, step-daughters Kathy Welde (Joe Daniels), Kristy (Jeff) Kinsel, and step-son Scott (Tomoko) Welde and 12 grandchildren.
Ted was a member of Bellbrook United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Navy from 1958-1962 and was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Ted owned and operated Centerville Siding and Roofing Co. serving the Dayton area for several decades until his retirement in 2005.
Ted loved woodworking and built many beautiful pieces of furniture that his family still enjoys today. He also loved playing cards, with his favorites being bridge, euchre and gin rummy.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bellbrook United Methodist Church, 47 E. Franklin Street, Bellbrook, Ohio, with Pastor Lisa Ellison presiding. Burial will take place on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 12 P.M. at David’s Cemetery at 4600 Mad River Road, Dayton, Ohio 45429.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton or Bellbrook United Methodist Church.
