

Carlos M.Clifton, age 84 of Parrish, FL and formerly of Beavercreek, OH, passed away peacefully Monday, December 28, 2015 at his home in Florida. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Shirley J. Clifton, in 2005. He was also preceded by his parents, Earl and Alma Clifton, and by five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Patricia Clifton, and three children: Carla Mueller (John), Gina Holman (Gary), and Randy Clifton (Janell), as well as eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Carlos was born in Scarbro, WV on October 12, 1931 and served his country in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952. Carlos retired as the Director of Civilian Personnel of D.E.S.C. (Defense Electronics Supply Center) in 1987. He was a talented baseball/softball player, playing into his late 70’s, as well as an avid golfer. He was an amazing and supportive grandfather. He was always supportive of his children’s activities and gave of his time as a youth football/baseball coach, as well as served as the President of the Beavercreek High School Band Parents’ Association. He also enjoyed horses and supported his children in their horse show endeavors. He loved to sing and dance. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Monday evening, January 4, 2016 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 with Pastor David Cahoon officiating. Entombment will be immediately following at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 in Carlos’s memory.
