Caroline June Finch

Caroline was born on June 10th, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to parents Alice (Reynard) Savage and Dr. Gordon E. Savage, MD. Caroline was raised in Xenia, Ohio and graduated from Xenia Central High School. She attended Miami University where she was proud member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. She married her husband, Dick, on July 7th, 1953 and they raised their three children in Miamisburg, Ohio. She spent her career working for the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disability Services and retired after 35 years. Caroline was a lifelong Cincinnati Bengals fan and season ticket holder. She adored and spoiled her pets, especially her huskies Natasha, Bandit, and Nishka.

Caroline is proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, C. Richard “Dick” Finch, her parents, Alice and Gordon Savage, her brother and sister-in-law Gordon “Doc” and Joann “Peg” Savage, and her grandson, Corey Reed.

Caroline is survived by her children; Steven (Shiela) Finch, Sandra Reed, and Scott (Jenny) Finch, her grandchildren; Matthew Finch, Tyler (Leah) Finch, Jesse (Amanda) Reed, Ian (Hailey) Finch, Ethan Finch, and Emma Finch, and her great grandchildren; Delaney, Treyvin, Beckham, Ashton, Elayna, and Emerik. She is also survived by her beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews; Judy Rude, Cindy Rude, Lori (John) Huffman, Mark Savage, Mac Savage, Deb (Jeff) Normand, Christopher Normand and Elizabeth Fowler.

A small private ceremony will be held for immediate and extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
