Carolyn Ebright

Carolyn Joyce Ebright was born June 15th, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to parents Pauline and Kenneth Delong Sr. Carol peacefully departed this world at the Hospice of Dayton on December 22nd , 2018 surrounded by family, special friend Bertie and her beloved puppies Chloe and Lacy. She was preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband, Paul Ebright, on February 14, 2018.

Carol met all challenges at work or play with humor and an undeniable optimism. That allowed her to infuse as much enthusiasm being a Girl Scout leader as she showed with a management career with Midwest Protective Services.

Although her ultimate pride was raising her children and doting on her grandchildren, she was an avid craft-maker, seamstress and volunteer for many causes. This includes her 10-year role as Holiday at Home's Arts & Crafts Chairman and appointment as vice-president and president of the same organization. In later life, it was offering smiles and kind words to her fellow residents of the Brookdale Independent Living Community that became her most cherished contribution.

Carol is survived by her brother Kenneth Jr. (Sue), her sister Sonja, special Sister-in-law BJ Brown, her three children: Scott (Lynne) Ebright, Teri (Todd) Carver, Jeffrey (Kerri) Ebright; six grandchildren, Nick, Jennifer, Zack, Jackie, Emma (Evan), Connor, three great-grand children (with another on the way), and countless relatives & friends, especially her dear Brookdale companions Lisa, Lenora, Elsie and Bob.

Carol Ebright will never be forgotten for those that knew her will always have a piece of her light forever in their hearts.

The viewing will be held at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek on Thursday, December 27th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 28th at 10:30am to be immediately followed by interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. All are welcome to join a Celebration of Life at Brookdale of Kettering following the burial from 1-4pm. Please make donations to Hospice of Dayton in lieu of flowers.
