Catherine L. Smith

Smith, Catherine L. (Cathy), age 69 passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2013 at her residence at Elm Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in West Carrollton, OH. Catherine was a retired housekeeper and enjoyed fishing and dancing, Bingo, and working in her flower gardens. She could make anything grow with her loving touch and care. Catherine has rejoined her family and friends in the Lord’s home. Catherine is survived by a sister, Helen Mimaros and her husband Stanley Mimaros of Baltimore, MD; one brother Marshal (Adam) Smith of Baltimore MD; a sister Barbara Hall of Baltimore; and a sister-in-law Angie Smith and her Guardian Angel brother Robert and their children Crystal and Little Adam of Hightower, GA. Catherine has left the circle of life with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild: daughter Jnet and her husband Denny Smith; grandson Patrick O’Ryan and his Fiance Chelsea Morgan; granddaughter Sarah (O’Ryan) Clark and her husband Jonathan; and grandson Andrew Smith, all from Moraine; grandson Zachary Smith Collins and great-grandson Eli Brantley, both of Cincinnati; son Robert Lorn Bray of Somerset KY; grandson Isaac Bray and granddaughter Sarah Bray, both from the Somerset area. The visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 10-12noon with the funeral service at noon, at Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave., Dayton, OH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Elm Creek Nursing Facility in Memory of Catherine’s name. Catherine was blessed to have her Cherokee Indian blood line in her, and she truly believed that once she passed that only her outer shell body would be left because the Indian Gods and Spirits had already came to take her home.
