Cecile "Cec" Beth Hill

Cecile Beth Hill, “Cec”, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023 at the age of 87. Cec was born and raised in the city of Sudbury in Ontario, Canada and moved to the U.S. in 1968 with her husband, Ray. Cec was recognized by many as the friendly face in the bakery at Dorothy Lane Market, where she worked for most of her career. She was a cow enthusiast, an avid thrift shopper, and always had a cup of tea in her hand. She loved to volunteer, especially at Polen Farm nearly every Christmas to sing Christmas carols.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ray, and is survived by her daughter Denise (Herman), son Daniel (Lisa), and her three grandchildren Lindsay (Cole), Adam (Christina) and Zach (Stephanie). She had five great-grandchildren who lovingly called her “Grandma Cec”.
