I cherish the roles beyond "uncle" that this incredible and much loved man had in my life from escorting me as a father in my wedding to family historian and more. The long-ago 1913 newspaper headline: "Providence Saves Adams Twins," was a sovereign reality for both my mother (Charles' twin) and for him who was graced with a much longer life, a life I shall surely miss.
