Freeman was a great man and a wonderful uncle to me. He always inquired about my academics and athletics as a youth and we never missed a chance to talk all things UK when we saw each other at the Caudill Labor Day and Christmas reunions. I always loved to see him get tickled at something with his unique, one-of-a-kind laugh. Prayers to Aunt Geneva, Dave, Cheri, and the rest of the family during this time.

Mr Hughes will be greatly missed by all who knew him. It was always a joy to see him and talk about UK basketball and update each other on our families. Being a part of the Coffee Group growing up as a kid was wonderful way to Fellowship with family and friends after Sunday morning Worship at Kirkmont. May God bless you and keep you during this time of grief.

Freeman was very warm and accepting to all who knew him. No matter your age..young or old. I remember when I was around nine or so he would wet he’s hand, rub the hairs on my arm, it would make hair balls. Then he would take out he’s little black hair comb and oh my it would sting! But all I can remember is that laugh!! We would trade knock/knock jokes and such. Full of laughter. As I got older and had my own children it was amazing how he carried on the same joy to them. Always interested in their education and their athletics. Freeman was one of a kind man.. showed such love and interest to everyone around him. Loved his big blue!, his family, but most of all my sister! Thank you Freeman.. I love you and I will miss you,
