Charles John Mantia

MANTIA, Charles J. age 88 of Centerville, OH passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011. He was a World War II Army Veteran and the Owner and Operator of DJ Mantia Produce Company for 57 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Mantia and his parents, Dominick and Augustine (Bova) Mantia. Charles is survived by his four children, Connie Crompton (Mick), Carol Albertini (Jerry), Rick Mantia (LuAnne), and Kim Konicki (Kurt); thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; siblings, Lena Hickey, Tony Mantia, and Nick Mantia; sisters-in-law, Alberta Mae Miller and Charlene Cochran; and beloved friend, Ida Peavler. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 9:30 am to 12 noon at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Mass of Christain Burial 1 pm Thursday at Church of the Incarnation Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend.
