MARTIN, Charles M, age 90, passed away on January 31, 2013 in Centerville, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen McCarthy Martin; Children: Diane Pomper (Sander), Ivy Kilgannon (Jon), Kitty Strehle (Max), Mary Beth Samartini (David), Gay Thompson (Lee), and Mark Common (Lori); Grandchildren: Isaac Pomper, Judith Pomper, Alison Wells (Steven), Jacob Strehle, Kyle Lewis, Billy Thompson, Valerie Thompson, Ian Common, and honorary grandchildren Katie and Tommy. Charles was a proud Army Veteran and served in WWII during the Battle of the Bulge. He was also a recipient of a Bronze Star during his service. He was honored to be a part of Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to visit the WWII Veteran Monuments. He loved traveling the world with his wife, Eileen, and enjoyed numerous cruises. Charles will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will take place at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet at Fauver, on Monday, February 4, 2013at 1:00pm. Family and friends may call on the funeral home from 12:00pm until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ memory to the American Melanoma Foundation, 4150 Regents Park Row, Suite 300, La Jolla, CA 92037.
