Charles Michael

MICHAEL, Charles H. (Chuck, Charlie), age 70 passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his residence. Chuck was a 1959 graduate of Fairmont High School, and also a graduate of Sinclair Community College. He was employed in the finance division of General Motors/Delco Moraine and retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of South Park United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors and fishing. Chuck is preceded in death by his sister Deborah (Michael) Raley. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sarah ”Sally”(Kaufman) Michael, their daughters and son-in-law; Cindy Michael, Kristin (Michael) Shafer and Eric Shafer, grandchildren; Maxwell Shafer and Marah Shafer, brother Robert ”Bob” Michael, nieces; Jen Wenrick, Jill Hawley, Ronda Wood, nephews; Jeff Michael, Dan Michael, and Stephen Raley. Chuck was loved by many friends; think of him when seeing a beautiful bird, a pretty sunset, or when laughing at a good joke. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Chuck’s memory to the National MS Society or the Hospice of Dayton. Family to receive friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM Friday, October 7, 2011at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where memorial service will be held at 6:00PM with Pastor Tom Miller officiating.
