
ROACH Charles K. loving and devoted husband of 60 years to Dixie Roach, passed away on May 15, 2012. He is a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corp 56th Air Engineer Squadron in the Asiatic and Pacific campaigns from 1944 to 1946. He retired from the City of Dayton in 1997. After retiring, Charles and Dixie took care of their grandchildren and on occasion their great grandchildren. This loving couple, always spent their time together holding hands and were seldom seen apart. Charles was a faithful member of East Fourth Street/ Evangel Church of God working with the youth in sports, bus ministry, and in service to fellow members when in need. He was a quiet, gentle, giving man who loved God and shared this love with family and friends. Charles is preceded in death by siblings James, Bob, & Bill Roach, Elizabeth “Bootsie” Smith, and great granddaughter Melissa Roach. Survived by his wife Dixie Roach, son Kenneth & wife Shirley Roach, daughter Sharon & husband Stephen Witt. Grandchildren Andrea Roach, Eric & wife Betsy Roach, Chris Witt, & Rachel Witt. Special friends: Ashley Timmerman & Adam Lowe. Great grandchildren: Kayla Witt, Logan Roach, and Connor Lowe. Siblings & spouses: Russell “Junior” Roach, Doyle & June Roach, Bud & Ruth Roach, Edna & Mickey Slagle, & Wanda Padgett, & a host of nieces & nephews. Charles was born August 19, 1928 in Coal Creek (Lake City) Tennessee to James Russell and Margaret Elizabeth (Towe) Roach.
