Charlotte Marie Koester Hey

HEY, Charlotte Marie, age 84 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014, after a long illness. She was born in Dayton to Clarence and Blanche (Hartley) Koester on November 1, 1930. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Koester, her sister, Joan Woehle, and her husband of 43 years, Henry. She is survived by her children and spouses, Doug (Michelle) Hey of Carmichael, CA, Sharon (Larry) England of Dayton, Bruce (Susan) Hey of Bardstown, KY, Steve (Marlene) Hey of Dayton, and Joe (Sherri) Hey of Beavercreek. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, Stacy, Susan, Shelly, Alexander, Kaitlin, Brittany, and Jessica, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte worked for many years for Mad River School District Food Services. She was a resident for 15 years at the St. Leonard’s Retirement Community. She loved to play bingo and cards at Hithergreen Senior Center. She also enjoyed dining out with her friends. Family and friends can meet at Tobias Funeral Home on Watervliet Ave. from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to be followed by short funeral service at 11:30a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Burial will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery on North Dixie Dr. following services.
