Charlotte Langley, age 96, of Washington Township, passed away Wednesday, November 20 after a brief illness. Charlotte was born on April 3, 1917 in Jackson, Michigan to A. Robert Ford and Pauline (Martin) Ford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Jack Deming, who was killed in WW II, her husband of 62 years, Phipps Langley, and sisters Virginia Young and Katherine Buskirk. She is survived by sons Patrick (Susan) Langley, Douglas (Elayne) Langley, and William (Linda) Langley; grandchildren, Tyler (Vanessa) Langley, Trishia (Tony) Monaco, Matthew Langley, Todd (Marian) Langley, Jennifer (Tyler) Head, Scott (Kimberly) Langley, Samantha (Greg) Enslen, Alexis (John) Nesbitt, and Kerilyn (Dan) Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Brynmore Langley, Isabella Langley, Alessandra Langley, Tyler Monaco, Tori Monaco, Stella Langley, Jonah Langley, Layla Langley, Gabriel Head, Lucy Head, Isabella Keeton, Alexander Enslen, Annabelle Enslen, Catherine Enslen, Hank Nesbitt, Phoebe Nesbitt, and Evan Johnson. Charlotte graduated from Albion College in Albion, Michigan and became a second grade teacher. She taught for several years and then settled in as a homemaker for her husband and three sons. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker, enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors, and later in retirement enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers, Florida with her husband Phipps, with visits from her many friends and family members. She spent her last few years at Sycamore Glen Retirement Community in Miamisburg and Elmcroft of Washington Township Senior Living Community. A special thanks goes out to all the people who worked with her and assisted her during those years. Charlotte was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was always cheerful, positive and generous, with a personality which could be called sweet, and often was by those who cared for her. You could not help but love her. Her memory will be cherished.
