Chelsea Lynne James, 21 of West Carrollton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 7, 2011, along with her fiancé, Keith Roberts. Chelsea is survived by her parents, Billy and Bambi; her brother, Zachary; grandparents, Charles R. James and Danica R. James of Dayton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Michael Powers in 1999 and Patricia Powers in 2003. Chelsea was a 2009 honors graduate of West Carrollton High School and was currently attending Wright State University. Chelsea was a customer service representative for Cub Foods in Sugarcreek. Chelsea was loved by everyone who met her. She could always make you laugh even if you were having a bad day. Her heart was bigger than the moon and her smile was brighter than the sun. She would always make the best out of the worst, always saw the good in everyone and had such a forgiving heart. Our family will never be the same. She was our ray of light in our darkest times. She always pulled more than her own weight no matter how big the task and was willing to encourage others to be their best. She was a tanning guru who loved movies, going to Kings Island, Reds games, UD basketball games, but most of all, she loved going with her brother, Zach, on long rides and sharing thoughts. Her dad wrote the following poem that expresses our family’s feelings:
It goes unspoken
That our hearts are broken
And words can’t begin to describe our pain.
We have lost our baby girl
It will forever change our world.
From now till we see her in God’s house again.
Love, Daddy
Chelsea, we all love you and will forever miss you.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13th at 11 a.m. with burial in David’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested for her family.
