He is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Jean (DeHaven); parents, Hershel Ray, and Betty Lee Adams; and brothers, Jimmie Lee Adams, and Robert Matthew Adams.
Ray is survived by his son, David; brother-in-law Mike DeHaven; sister-in-law Lynn Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a proud graduate of Wilbur Wright and served his country as a medic in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star Award. He was retired from Chrysler and a longtime employee of Kettering Hospital. He enjoyed softball in his younger years, and loved the Reds, UD, his dogs, and gardening.
A short visitation will be held for Ray at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
