

Chris Watters, age 94, of Beavercreek Ohio passed away on August 1, 2022. Chris was born on May 26, 1928, to William and Laura Chisholm (deceased) in New Boston. She is preceded in death by her husband George and her son George (Tom), brothers Everett Roscoe, Wallace and Orville Chisholm and sister Anna Marie Zummo and sister-in-law Jane Kean.
She is survived by Daughter-in-law Renee Watters, grandchildren Caitlin, George and Ian Watters, many nieces and nephews including Leisa (Brain) Malthouse, Kathy (Dave) Kappeler, Jessica (Hans Gerd) Tribolet, and Bruce (Sandra) Mangan.
She grew up in Jackson, Ohio and moved to Dayton in her teens. There she met the love of her life George Thomas Watters and was married for 51 years until his death in 2001. She worked as a civilian at Wright Patterson Airforce base for 37 years until her retirement in 1983. She was a founding member of St Andrews Church (Mosaic) and a member of Eastern Star. She loved making crafts and participated in the Berry Patch for many years. She also enjoyed singing, painting, crocheting, gardening, cooking and watching basketball, baseball, football and especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Chris faced many challenges in her life and always remained positive. In her eyes, there was never any other option than to roll with the punches and keep moving forward. She was an inspiration to many, and she will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
A celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Mosaic Church 350 N Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, Ohio on August 20 at 11 AM with a luncheon after for those who would like to attend.
