Clayton served his country, first in the Air Force retiring as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service. Following his Air Force retirement, he worked in various civil service roles for another 19 years.
Clay is survived by his wife, Chris Johnson. They were married for 51 years. He is also survived by sons, Barry (Molle) Johnson and Scott (Jennifer) Johnson; daughters, Gwenn Johnson and Paula (Carl) Johnson; grandchildren Nathan, Samantha, Ben, Tyler, Ash and Harper; he is also survived by brothers, Norman and Terry Johnson.
Visitation will be Monday, February 8th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at Tobias beginning at 11:00 am.
