Clifford Robert Purdin

Purdin, Clifford Robert “C.R.” age 89 a lifelong resident of Centerville passed away on Thursday March 22, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia; a step-son Brad Bucher of Centerville; close friends, Ron and Pat Dickerson, Dale Speckman, and numerous other friends. Cliff was a 1946 graduate of Centerville High School, a graduate of The Ohio State University, and served 2 years in the U. S. Army where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was employed by NCR for 30 years retiring as a Director of Purchasing in 1987. He loved traveling the United States especially in the Western States and Florida. He enjoyed gardening and following the buckeyes during football and basketball season. Cliff and Pat enjoyed attending the Centerville Elks football and basketball games as well. He was a wonderful and loving husband to his wife Pat and loving father to his stepson Brad Bucher. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday April 3, 2018 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Pastor Deb Holder officiating. A gathering of Friends will be from 5pm until service time at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Centerville H.S. Performing Arts or your favorite charity. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Kettering Medical Center for their loving care and support during his stay.
