Cynthia L. Calhoun-Taylor

August 15, 1952 – March 24, 2013

CALHOUN-TAYLOR, Cynthia L, age 60, of Kettering, OH, was called to Heaven on March 24, 2013. She was a graduate of Ohio Dominican University, and was a talented, creative and award winning interior designer. More recently, she was employed at the Wallace-Kettering Neuroscience Institute at Kettering Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard & Jeanne Calhoun and is survived by her husband Gregg, Aunt Patricia (Lenny) Heimbuecher, siblings Jeanne Bible, Linda (Raymond) Nutter, Cheryl (Scott) Evans, and Richard Calhoun, step-sons Jason (Sarah) Taylor & Adam (Susan) Taylor, and light of her life, her wonderful grandchildren Megan, Jacob, Jackson & Molly. Her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. Her courage during her battle with cancer and its after affects are an inspiration to all. The family will receive guests from 5-8 pm Wednesday March 27, 2013, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. and a remembrance will be held at the funeral home, Thursday March 28, 2013 at 10:00 am with Pastor Larry Tyner officiating. Gregg and family, it was so sad when I returned home yesterday to learn about Cindy's passing. From the time I met her in 1966, and then through our school reunions, it was always a joy to talk with her. May your memories comfort you in this time of sadness.

Gregg, Cindy was the most wonderful and fun-loving person. She brought so much joy and fun to family events. We will miss her so much. She was more than a cousin to Jim; she was a friend and more like a sister to him. The only consolation is that we know that she is in her heavenly home now.
