I was quite shocked to learn of Dan's passing and will truly miss our time together on the golf course.  I met Dan a few years ago and always looked forward to the Fridays when he joined us.  He was easy to laugh with and was often the target of my jokes of which he took with ease and gave back with the same vigor.

We just had lunch together two days before his passing and I'm so happy we had those couple of hours together to reunite during these cold days.  We often texted each other during Ohio State football games and we found a lot of common ground to walk on regarding other subjects too.  I'll miss his perspective, his humor, and hearing him call me by the nickname he gave me: Billy Psych Job.  

While I'll miss him on Fridays, I know all of you will miss him always.  I hope you'll take comfort in knowing how much all of us cared for him.  In our family we never say "goodbye", we only say "See You Later" and I know you will.  Rest easy Dan.

I'm so saddened and sorry about Dan's passing. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Betty and your entire family. A few years back, God's Providence brought Dan into my life, and into our circle of friends. We shared many hours of camaraderie and fun on all the golf courses we played. Dan enjoyed playing on the variety of courses we visited. And of course, Dan loved the good natured bantering on the course, which was always accompanied by compliments for well-played shots. Dan and I spoke often and enjoyed being out in the beauty of God's creation that we found on the golf courses we played. We shared many post-round conversations, sometimes on a patio or under some trees. We often enjoyed eating a meal together after playing. Dan always loved finding a new restaurant where we could eat, and once we found one we liked, we became regular patrons! Our conversations included a wide gambit of topics. I'd say our favorites were Ohio St football and politics. These conversations were so enjoyable to me as we shared the same views of nearly every topic. This further bonded and solidified our friendship. Dan was a great friend, one who truly embodied the definition of friendship.  Our entire golfing group shared that same view of Dan. And Dan was always eager to share a golf cart with any of us during a round. This allowed him to get to know each guy better. That defines the character that Dan possessed. We will certainly miss him in our future golf dates. Dan deeply loved his family, and spoke often and fondly of Betty, his children, and his grandchildren. He was extremely proud of each of you, and he was grateful to be blessed with his family. You are all in my prayers and thoughts. I pray God will bless and comfort you. Hold tight to the many memories you shared together. And always remember: Dan's was a life well lived.

I worked and golfed for many years with Dan.  Lots of great memories from those days at Monarch Marking and Weatherwax golf course.  Sorry to learn of Dan's passing, but the memories will live on.

Best thing I ever did was higher Dan and (Stu) at Monarch! But lunches and GOLF was by far so much joy in my life!
He will be terribly missed! But never forgotten!

So sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. We worked together at Avery and discovered that many, many years ago he worked for my brother-in- law, Tom Cook at Fox theaters in Kettering.  We laughed about all the shenanigans and fun he had while working there.  
I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared together.
