

WATSON, Darlene, A. age 88 of Dayton passed away Friday, March 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Watson in 1995; 2 sons, William Watson and Charles Watson. Darlene is survived by 4 daughters, Cynthia Thompson of Dayton, Mary (Robert) Herman of Englewood, Debra (Gregory) McRoberts of Westerville, and Caroline (Russ) Becker of Scottsdale, AZ; 4 sons, James (Mary) Watson of Trotwood, Ronald (Valerie) Watson of Fredericksburg, VA, Daniel (Irmgard) Watson of Sonoma, CA, and Robert Watson of Corvallis, OR; 2 brothers, Magnet O’Shea of Englewood, CO and Laverne O’Shea of Mandeville, LA; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; special friend Coralee Waugh. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. She retired from a career as an executive secretary and at the age of 65, Darlene fulfilled a life long dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S Smithville Rd, Dayton.
