Neer, David L., age 88, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Donald and Betty (Schuman) Neer. Also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Louise Neer in 2025, a grandson, Jordan Galack in 2018, and nephew Michael Neer.
David is survived by his son Todd Neer, daughter Kristin Galack, grandchildren Justin Galack and Alexa (Christopher) Whitehead, brother Donnie Neer, and nephew Jim Neer.
David worked in Wealth Management at UBS financial. He was President of the Dayton Rotary, board member Miami Valley Hospital, belonged to the Dayton Council on World Affairs, Dayton Peace Accords, Dayton Chamber of Commerce, Dayton Tooling and Machining Association, and Dayton Public Radio. He was President of the Dayton Racquet Club and on the board of multiple Nonprofit organizations.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 11-1pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ohio Living Bethany Hospice at https://ohioliving.org/foundation
