David Stanley Pyzoha passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2026, at the age of 77. Dave was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (or Papa) who made friends everywhere he went. His passion for Cleveland sports had no bounds. He grew up playing baseball, bowled in a weekly league for years, remained an avid golfer, and was an enthusiastic Browns, Guardians, and Cavs fan. He lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with his family.
Dave was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 5, 1948, graduated from Cleveland State University in 1972 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, served in the Army Reserves from 1970 to 1976, and married the love of his life in 1973. Since retiring from a long successful career as a Civil Engineer, he treasured living on Yankee Trace golf course in the house they built together, and his recent travels with family and friends to Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Charleston, New Orleans, and Disney World.
Although Dave is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.
Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Eleanor Pyzoha. He is survived by his wife Ellen Pyzoha; their children Jennifer (Wes) Warf, Matthew (Sarah) Pyzoha, and Jonathan (Amanda) Pyzoha; grandchildren, Jack, Jake, Stanley, Elle, Wynn, and Benjamin Pyzoha; and brother Michael (Jill) Pyzoha.
A private family service will be held to honor Dave’s life.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association in Dave's name.
