Dee Burch, age 70, passed away on August 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family he spent his life building and caring for. He was born on May 18, 1956, and from that day forward lived as a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose steady hands and steadier heart shaped everyone around him.
Dee was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cindy Burch (Fiala), parents Clyde and Doris Burch and brother Mick Burch. He is survived by his children, Amie Phillips (Jake McIntosh) and Alicia Waggoner (Eric); his grandchildren, Morgan Hall (Mitchell), Jacob Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Elyse Waggoner, and Emmett Waggoner; and his great-granddaughters, Maeve and Marlowe Hall. He is also survived by his companion, Linda Jackowski, and by his siblings, Terry Burch (Cheryl), Janet Sailor (Joe), and Pam King (Jim).
An avid outdoorsman, Dee never felt more at home than he did on the water. He spent countless hours boating and fishing and he passed that love of the outdoors on to everyone in his family. But more than any hobby, Dee took the greatest pride in instilling strength in the people he loved, teaching them by example how to face life with resilience and grace.
A lifelong mechanic by trade, Dee could build or repair anything he put his hands to. To his girls, he was simply "the fixer" — the one who could always be counted on to solve a problem, mend what was broken, and make things right. Above all else, Dee was a family man, and that devotion to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren defined the life he lived.
Dee's legacy lives on in the love he instilled in all of his friends and family. He will be deeply missed, but his memory and the values he passed down will continue to guide those who loved him.
