Diane Shahan Vonderbrink, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2026. She was a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a dedicated teacher who touched the lives of hundreds of elementary students. Diane had a way to challenge someone to make themselves a better person, that made her a great teacher. Her belief in God was strong, and she was a valued member of Living Water Lutheran Church. She prayed daily and believed in that power of prayer. Diane loved to celebrate football for her school,The Ohio State University. Always ready to root for the home team, her “OH” would bring out the “IO” in the room. Diane was always a bright, positive light she shared with her family and friends. She is survived by her twin brother, Michael Shahan, son Stephen Rinaldi, and close friend Vicki Cohn. Diane was preceded by first husband Arthur Rinaldi, second husband Gerald Vonderbrink, and son Jeffrey Rinaldi.
A Gathering of Friends will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, on September 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
