Dominic Longo Franchina, 48, died unexpectedly July 10, 2013. A native Daytonian born May 29, 1965, he graduated from St. Luke’s Parochial School, Carroll High School, Wright State University (cum laude), and pursued graduate studies in direct marketing at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Dominic was an avid reader of classical books, musician, poet, artist, and had a keen awareness of world languages. Dominic enjoyed the local community and worked at Ruby Tuesday’s. Preceded in death by his grandparents Dominic and Madeline Longo of Dayton and Antonino and Carmela Franchina of Jamestown, NY. He is survived by his loving parents Joseph and Francesca Franchina, four brothers Anthony, Joseph (sister-in-law Stella), Michael, and Giovanni and will be deeply missed. Visitation is Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Dayton, OH followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Chris Coleman, Pastor.
