Donald Arthur Aydelott

Aydelott, Donald A., age 86, passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick & Velma; brothers, Richard, William, Dennis and Robert; sister, Joenelle. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia; sons, Michael of West Carrollton, Jeffrey of Centerville and Patrick of Naples, Florida; brother, Fredrick and sister, Janet Brun; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Donald served in the U.S. Navy for three years, stationed in Guam. He retired from Dayton Power & Light after 40 years of service. He was also a long time member of the Home Builders Association of Dayton. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Entombment will follow at David’s Cemetery Mausoleum with a gathering of family and friends in the mausoleum community room until 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420 or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
