TOBIAS, Donald E., age 83, of Dayton, OH, passed away November 22, 2011. He was born on July 3, 1928 in Dayton to the late Ralph and Mary Tobias. He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Tobias; three sons, Steven ( Joan) Tobias of Dayton, Harry ( Kathy) Smith of Dayton, and Dan ( Katie) Smith of Northern CA; one daughter, Dena Rauch of Dayton; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Tobias of Dayton, Brandy ( Jon) Schilling of CA, Heather and Michael Rauch of Dayton, Julia and Bobby Smith of CA; and two great grandchildren; Richie and Gabriel Schilling of CA. Donald worked with the Dayton Police Department for over 30 years and retired at the rank of major. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 29,2011 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME –BELMONT CHAPEL 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton OH 45420.
