Donna Jeanne Krile

She was born February 17, 1944, in Duluth, Minn., the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Kenney Goughnour.

She is survived by her husband, David Krile of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Carol Bell of Dayton, Ohio, sons, Robert “Bob” Krile (Elizabeth) of Powell, Ohio; James “Jim” Krile (Michele) of Bellbrook, Ohio; Steven “Steve” Krile (Kristi) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and daughter Carolyn Brock (Jim) of Germantown, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and many in-laws; nieces; and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Larry Goughnour.

Donna married David Krile of Pisek, N.Dak., on October 9, 1965. They were blessed to be married over 57 years. They affectionately called each other Mr. and Mrs. Bean.

Donna is a graduate of Wright State University (BA Psychology, 1978). She had a successful career in quantitative research at Fels Research Institute and at Sinclair Community College.

Donna was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She created a lively and festive home where everyone was comfortable and welcome. At this home, she raised four children and was a surrogate mother to several others. She loved doing crossword puzzles every morning, playing Bridge with her friends, assembling jigsaw puzzles, decorating her house for all holidays; listening to acoustical music; playing the piano; reading, and spending time with family and friends. She recently was thrilled to have her sister relocate to Dayton, where they spent every day together.

Donna was an active member of St. Helen Parish where she was a lector and trainer.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for their gentleness and kindness in caring for Donna. The family will be forever grateful.

A funeral liturgy will be at St. Helen Parish (605 Granville Place, Riverside, Ohio), July 26, 2023, at 11 am. Family and friends are invited to a reception afterwards at the church.
