Donna Jean Murphy

Donna was the loving mother of Pollyanne (Bill) Green, Bryan (Paula) Perkins, and Scott Murphy; cherished grandmother of Christy (Jon) Matheny, Eric Green, Brody and Anna Perkins, and Shannon (Mike) Lopez; and proud great-grandmother of Jackson and Grace Matheny, and Trysten and Rianne Lopez.

She is also survived by her brother, Charles (Lynne) Zema, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Jr. and Anna Zema; her brothers Joseph III (Irma) Zema and David Zema; and her infant sister, Maryann Zema.

Born and raised in Barberton, OH, Donna attended trade school and went on to work for Allegheny Airlines. She later became a dental assistant for several dentists before retiring. In her later years, she found so much joy babysitting her great-grandchildren.

The family is sincerely thankful for the nurses, aides, volunteers, and doctors at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for their compassionate care and support during Donna’s final days.

A Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio on August 23, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A memorial service will follow starting at 11:30 am.
