

Donald E. "Donnie" Sommers, age 75, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 14, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 22, 1950, the son of the late Donald E. and Barbara Lorraine (Frazier) Sommers.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sandy; his sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Robert Bergin; his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Alicia Sommers; a sister-in-law, Leslie Kersey and her husband, Mike Kersey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Beavercreek High School, Class of 1968 and furthered his education by attending the University of Cincinnati earning his Bachelor's Degree in 1972. Donnie was a well known D.J. in the area and was the proprietor of many entertainment venues including, The Jammer Lounge, Rascals, Donnie's Place and The King of Clubs. He was also a real estate broker associated with Beavercreek Realty and later Donnie Sommers and Associates.
Donnie was an active member of the Beavercreek Senior Citizen Center, a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #321 and an avid Cowboys fan.
A Celebration of Donnie's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
