

Braden, Doris Jean (nee Phipps), age 67 passed away on Oct. 8, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. Jean was born in Dayton in Nov. 1944 and lived in Dayton all of her life. She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in 1963. Jean retired from Miami Valley Hospital in 2002 due to health problems. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Elmer Braden, her parents George and Mary Phipps, and a younger brother Charles D. Phipps in 1970. Jean is survived by a sister Judy Gay (Jim) of Centerville; 2 brothers George Phipps of Riverside and Robert Steven Phipps (Sue) of Sweetwater, TN. Jean is also survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 1 great, great niece, and 2 great, great nephews all of whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by other relatives, friends, and neighbors and 3 stepchildren: H. Joel Braden (Donna) of Huber Heights, Curtis Braden (Jenny) of Burnside, KY, and Debbie Brown (Tony) of Dayton. Visitation 5-7pm Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel. Funeral service 11am Thursday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
