I just happened to be thinking of her, after 50 years. I remember her as my paster as a teen ager

David, We are Praying for you & your family.
I remember the first time we came to your church. Everyone made us feel so loved & welcome.Your Mom, Pastor Doris, just glowed with the Holy Spirit all over her. I was so impressed with the love & care she showed to everyone. She had the Mind of Christ. It was visible in her love for People. She was a wonderful example on how to live for Jesus. She loved all of you so very much. Someday, we will be in Heaven with Pastor Doris & Jesus, for all Eternity. God Bless You. Psalm 91 & Romans 8:38, 39

Pastor, there are no words to express to you. Thanking you for the unaccountable love of Christ you've embedded into me. Never without a kind word of encouragement. Instilling my faith base. It hurt me deeply to learn, today of your home going..for you have work to do in Heaven but truly, you will be dearly missed on Earth.

Sis Doris has been a light in my life-most of my life. Remembering the Bergamo Retreat days, Dayton For Jesus & the many services the Pillar of Truth joined with UCC. So many times she encouraged me; when I thought I wasn't good enough, by calling on me when she needed an organist. There were many talks & all the stories she told me, that will leave fond memories. But most of all her anointed ministry has left a great mark on me, Dayton & the World!! Thank You for always obeying the Lord!!

I was a member of UCC for 14yrs. You married Tammy and I you dedicated my kids to the Lord and you made great deposits into our lives. A woman of faith and great wisdom. I regret not being able to tell you while you were still here. Love you and miss you.

To the Swartz and Todd Family:
Thanks be to Our Father and our Lord and Savior for Pastor Doris Swartz. Before there was Fred Price, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagan...we the White Family had Pastor Doris Swartz who was a woman of Faith and her teachings via the Holy Spirit taught us to walk by faith and not by sight. Thank you for allowing her to serve so many families in Dayton and around the world.
Her legacy lives on within each and every one of us.

Pastor Doris was a blessing to everyone. I am so thankful to have been ordained under her leadership last year and although she was ill she made sure to sign my certification herself. May you rest and rejoice with our King...Sleep well Pastor Doris
