Tompkins, Doris Louise, of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Elmer William Tompkins Sr. They had been married for 63 years. She is survived by 2 children, Deborah Joyce Tompkins and Elmer William Tompkins Jr.,and a sister-in-law Catherine Joyce Elking. Doris retired from the Chaplin’s Office of Miami Valley Hospital after many years of exemplary service . She was loved by all that knew her, and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at David’s Cemetery Mausoleum with Pastor Linda Niece officiating the service. Family and friends are welcome to stop by and visit at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd. from 6-8 PM Friday October 30th. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45420. Dress is casual and comfortable. All are welcome.
