GANNON, Dorothy M., age 94, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of the Dayton area. Dorothy retired from the University of Dayton Campus Ministries. She was an avid Round, Square, and Ball Room dancer. She was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Gannon. She was a loving mother to six children, James (Mary Lou) Gannon, Juanita “Noni” Burcham, Patricia Lewandowski, Thomas (Peggy) Gannon, Joseph (Kim) Gannon, and Kathleen (Doug) Coffman; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera Roberts and Janice (William) Turner; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
