Cousin Dot was always the life of the party.  When Nana ,(Deloris Teague) and Cousin Dorothy got together - there was a story to tell, a memory to laugh about and Love was always present. Now they are in heaven together - I'm sure they are picking up where they left off.  I will cherish the memories and conversations we have had, Love is forever.

Dear grandma, 
This is so very hard to write, with the loss of my brother and now you. These couple of months have had me up and down. I spent a lot of time with you growing up, and I cherish those memories dearly.  You taught me so many things as grandpa did to.  Your laugh I inherited from you, I know this cause people can hear my laughter and tell me it's unique and I say I get it from my grandmother. The cookouts, the mall, even visiting with your friends grandma and especially your cooking I will never forget. I think I only got a spanking from you once and I think it hurt you more than it hurt me. I know Stevie got plenty of spankings from you. I remember talking to him on the phone sometimes and he would always have me cracking up about how one day you told him you haven't gotten a spanking today yet and he said something smart back and then he got it. I remember trying to pick you up one day and you would just scream with laughter put me down! I use to watch you watching your soap operas with a cigarette in your hand with your red lipstick on which inspired me to steal a cigarette from you and go down the hill and put your red lipstick on and try to act like you smoking the cigarette which was a bad decision cause I was coughing everywhere. Then I heard you call my name for lunch and I had to make sure I put the cigarette out good. I love you grandma so much you were like a mother to me in so many ways. Now your with grandpa, Lance, Jewel Kay and Stevie I hope your all dancing, laughing and having a good time. I love you grandma, I will see you again one day.

My condolences to Keith and family. May your moms smile, kind heart and spirit carry you thru the difficult days of physical absence. She was my art teacher and I will always remember that warm smile even when looking at my crappy drawings in class. Smiles. I pray for God's covering during these times.

You were a classy, sassy, and one of a kind woman.  Your laugh will forever be a part of my memory. Thank you for the wisdom that you so freely shared with me.  It was truly an honor to be a part of your life. You will always be in my heart. Rest easy and sing loud, Sassy Britches!

Your parents purchased a white horse from my parents.  Lance would ride the horse to my house. Mom would love him, welcome him, water the horse., and feed my bestie! It's what we do in the country!  Lance was my best friend; Mrs.  Harrison was my favorite sub-Teacher.  I do NOT have a school memory without her and Lance.  I cab still hear Mrs Harrison calling Lance's name with emphasis!  Love her smile and laugh!

Mrs. Harrison: RIP.  JOB WELL DONE!  Thank you for the art you shared the class as.well as your dolls and Lance's glee concerts...before that became a thing.  Love you!  Ernestine Jones Martin
