Edward Frere Umland 1953-2019

On August 9, Ed Umland fell asleep and is awaiting Christ's return. Ed was born in Alameda, California, the son of Charlie and Dona Umland, He was the youngest of four, Randall, John, Mary, and Ed.

The greatest concern and joy of Ed's life was to understand The Word of God and to teach it to others. He and his wife Pam attended Bible college together and ran Bible study fellowships in their home for 45 years.

Ed loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking and was an active part of his son's Boy Scout Troop for many years.

Ed is survived by his wife Pam, their children and spouses, Charlie and Debbie Umland, Mary and Samuel Wall, Matt Umland and Jesse Mesenburg and John Umland and Heather Wise, and Grandsons Elijah, Owen, and Grayson. Also by his brothers, sister, their spouses and their children.

Thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians 15:57

My sympathy to the whole family at Ed’s Home going. Of course you celebrate for him yet in this life he will be missed. I have memories of his many kindnesses to me with fixing things around my house. His concern and generosity always touched my heart. I value his devotion to our God and know he has laid up many treasures in heaven to give God glory. Well done Ed, Rest In Peace.
