Edith J. Barbato

Barbato, Edith J., age 91, passed away Tuesday January 21, 2014. Edith was an active member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Dayton for almost 56 years. She was an avid volunteer at Kettering Medical Center logging over 21,000 hours of service in 21 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Barbato; a daughter, Diana Barbato; and by a brother, Dominic Gentile. She is survived by her son, Gregory (Maryann) Barbato; and a grandson, Matt (Shelly) Barbato. There will be a gathering of friends on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Monday at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH Private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, OH.
