

She was born on February 5, 1952 in Kenton, Ohio to Cleo S. and Ellen Lindsey Wheatcraft. Edna was a Xenia High School graduate. She had attended Church where she was involved in choir, solos and helping out with Sunday School. She enjoyed singing gospel music, sewing and gardening. She was a loving and devoted mother to her son.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Danny Wylie, her parents, sister Shirley Wheatcraft, niece Juanita Dale, nephew Leonard E. Wheatcraft, Jr., great-nephew Alexander Caldwell, and brother-in-law John Hildreth.
Survivors include her son Dennis Tanner, Jr., siblings; Leonard (Karla) Wheatcraft, Loma (Donald) Dale, Carl (Donna) Wheatcraft, and Sue Hildreth, 14 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel with burial to follow at Mt Zion Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, October 4.
