
Edward A. Albers, 96, passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church, Ed’s faith guided him from his earliest years and remained a cornerstone of his life.
Born in 1929, Ed served his country honorably in the Korean War before graduating from Chicago Technical College in Chicago, Illinois. Alongside his brothers, he built a proud legacy through Albers Brothers Building and Remodeling, a family business he operated until his retirement.
Ed shared 67 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Geraldine, who preceded him in death. Together they raised a large family, and Ed devoted his life to providing for them, supporting them in his own steady and dependable way.
He is survived by his children: Theresa (Dave) Belcher, Tony (Pam) Albers, Christine (Mike) Farrell, Paul Albers, Kenny (Angie) Albers, Dan (Kathryn) Albers, and Brian (Jessi) Albers.
Ed was a proud grandfather to Jessica Balsom, Melissa Tatman, Becky Mueller, Krista Collins, Tony Albers, Becca Albers, Taylor Albers, Emily Farrell, Thomas Farrell, Cassie Albers, Stephanie Albers, Liv Albers, Linnea Albers, Acacia Albers, Wyatt Albers, Carter Albers, and Tucker Albers, as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
Ed will be remembered for his deep faith, his commitment to hard work, his calm presence, and the constancy with which he approached life. His legacy lives on in the generations who carry his name.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (2300 S. Smithville Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45420). Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am, Fr. Satish Joseph celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would also like to give special thanks to the staff of Touching Hearts for all of their compassion and time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
