Edwin J. Beck

BECK, Edwin J., resident of Cincinnati, Ohio for many years and more recently of Centerville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin J. Beck Sr., and mother Catherine Dorothy (Scott) Beck, and his loving late wife Betty Lucille,(Sandhas) Beck. Edwin is survived by his loving wife Anne Bertke Beck and children: Gregory (Melissa) Beck, Jeff (Jodi) Beck and stepchildren, Rick (Mary) Brannaman, Brad (Ann) Brannaman, Michael Brannaman; Cindy (Joseph) Urig. Grandchildren: Christy Beck, Mitchell Beck, Jeremy Beck, and Jessica Beck. Stepgrandchildren: Zachary, Chelsea, Ellie, Ginnie, Marty (Brannaman), Megan, Rachel and Ryan (Urig). He is also survived by brother, Richard (Betty) Beck. Ed graduated from University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering. He had a lengthy career with General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio designing jet engines. He was an avid hobbyist in the areas of model airplanes, stamp collecting, photography, and cross stich. His greatest love was his family and friends and spending time with them. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday, August 1, 2014 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HLLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road, Dayton, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Boluvard, Kettering, Ohio followed by burial at Rest Haven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio at 1 pm.
