Eleanor Rita Bondy

Eleanor “Ellie” Bondy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Ellie was born and raised in Dayton, OH. In 1961, Ellie began her career in the medical field at Wright Patt Air Force Base. Ellie was an X-ray Technician, specializing in mammography. Ellie retired after 35 years of civilian service with the US Air Force. Ellie’s real passion was being a mother and helping others. Ellie was heavily involved with the Catholic Church and volunteered countless hours. In her free time, Ellie enjoyed gardening, cooking/baking, and spending time with family and friends. The footprint Eleanor Bondy left on Earth is immense and will forever be missed.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her father Raymond Terhaar and mother Margaret Zwisler, sister Carol Cain. Eleanor is survived by her son John Bondy, his wife Stacy Bondy, and their four children Nolan, Lucy, Mila, and Jack; her sister Marilyn Steck and the extended Steck family; niece Donna Melia and nephew Tom Melia; numerous other family members and loving friends. A gathering of Friends will be held from 10-11 am Saturday November 13, 2021at the Tobias Funeral Home Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Memorial Service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home.
