Eleanor Marie Shine

Mrs. Eleanor 'Bobbi' Marie (Ghinder) Shine, of Kettering, Ohio, born on June 21, 1925 in Canton, Ohio, to John and Anna Ghinder, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at age 93 on February 26, 2019 in Kettering, Ohio. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1945 where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. In addition to the devotion to her family, she was a dietitian, teacher and realtor. Eleanor was married to the late Dr. William Shine and was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Hanninger and brother Philaret Ghinder. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Bill, Bob, Steve, Sam, Charley, Jason; daughters, Suzanne Gaker and Celeste Dickman, their loving spouses, 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and brother John Ghinder and sister Marge Perduk. She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner at St Francis Church. Friends and family can pay their respects from 9-10am with funeral Mass immediately to follow celebrated by Fr. Bryan, on Saturday, March 2 at 10am at St Francis of Assisi, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, Ohio, 45459.
