Emogene "Jean" Benson

Jean, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours Friday, March 28, 2014 at Heartland of Centerville. She was born in Barnett’s Creek, Kentucky on January 21, 1925 to Daniel Boone Trimble and Rosa LeMaster Trimble, the eldest of eight children. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl in 1975; sisters, Loretta Trimble Reed and infants, Lucille and Dorothy Evelyn Trimble; brother, William Trimble; and son-in-law, Bob McKay. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Jean (Allen) Robertson of Midland, Texas, David (Linda) Benson of Waynesville, Ohio, Debbie McKay of West Milton, Ohio, Sharon (Mark) Juday of Granite Bay, California, and John Mark (Lori) Benson of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Melissa, Ginger, and Molly; Jennifer and Brant; Jacob; Jeff, Doug, and Adam; Mikelle and Steven; and fourteen beloved great-grandkids. Jean was a former member of Far Hills Baptist Church; but more recently, a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kettering. Special thanks to those who cared for her in the past few months, both at Kettering Memorial Hospital and Heartland of Centerville.
